“Beautiful Things Don’t Demand Attention” – The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
As I mentioned in my first installment of Random Beauty in Nature in the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the fictional photographer Sean O’Connell made a statement (see the quote above) that I truly believe. I believe it because I’ve experienced it.
Nature, and particularly, the random beauty in nature, doesn’t demand attention. It just is. It doesn’t care whether it is seen or not. It exists . . . and that is enough.
In honor of the random beauty in nature around us all the time, I present 4 photographs of beauty in nature with the moon that I noticed and was privileged to experience. When I saw each one, I recognized the beauty, and because I had a camera with me was able to create these images.
Without narrative or comment, here are 4 photographs of Random Beauty in Nature that include the moon. (Click on the arrows to see all 4 images.)
Keep your eyes open for similar posts in the future, when I feel moved.
As always, feel free to comment, critique or criticize. Thanks for viewing.
I think one can train themselves to see beauty. After a while, it is effortless and you see it everywhere.
Have a great weekend, Lane.

Beautifully done Lane! I particularly like the 2nd one down with the contrasting shadow layers and how the red moon really stands out and perched on the horizon.
