“Beautiful Things Don’t Demand Attention” – The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Photography movies, or rather, movies about photographers, usually leave me feeling . . . wellllll . . . let down.
Rarely is a photographer in a movie portrayed in any realistic way. I feel that way about Sean Penn’s portrayal of the fictional Life photographer Sean O’Connell, in the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
However, the quote above is one line in the movie delivered by Sean Penn, that I truly believe. I believe it because I’ve experienced it.
Nature, and particularly, the random beauty in nature, doesn’t demand attention. It just is, whether is it seen or appreciated.
In honor of this fact, I present the lead photograph and 3 more of random beauty in nature that I nearly walked past without seeing. When I did see each one, I recognized the beauty, and created these images.

I’ve titled this article Random Beauty in Nature #1. Keep your eyes open for similar posts in the future, when I feel moved.
As always, feel free to comment, critique or criticize. Thanks for viewing.
Indeed, these pictures are great examples of nature beauty. Beautiful!
